The annual AuSable River Cleanup program takes place on the third Monday in August every year. Alcona Canoe Rental is a proud sponsor of this once-a-year event. Each year hundreds of volunteers spend the day picking up and cleaning up the AuSable River in an effort to keep it looking beautiful and enjoyable for all those who spend time recreating along this scenic waterway.
A registration form is available at the Alcona Canoe Rental store for those who are interested in participating. If you can spend the day, a half a day or a couple of hours it will be helpful and appreciated. Those participating will receive a tee shirt and a complimentary lunch in appreciation for your efforts.
